Project Background
This two-storey garage/laneway suite on Huntsbay Rd needed a durable, tidy exterior that would look sharp beside the main house and stand up to Calgary’s hail and freeze-thaw cycles. After a site walk, J-Exteriors recommended an impact-resistant vinyl lap siding system with vented aluminum soffit and aluminum fascia in white for a clean, low-maintenance finish.
Scope of Work
Supply & install vinyl lap siding (grey) on all elevations
Set corner posts, J-channel, starter and color-matched trims
Install vented aluminum soffit and aluminum fascia (white)
Flash and seal service penetrations, windows and garage opening
Final sealing, cleanup and disposal
Site Conditions & Challenges
Tight lane access, overhead lines and temporary fencing required careful staging and straight, level course layout to keep lap reveals consistent around the building.
The Outcome
The siding lines carry cleanly around corners and across elevations, with consistent reveals from base to eaves. Vented soffit improves attic ventilation, while color-matched trims and flashings create a finished, low-maintenance envelope.
Despite tight lane access and overhead lines, the exterior went in on schedule and the new suite now presents a professional, weather-ready facade.
